In recognition of the impact Covid-19 has had on public education, school districts nationwide are receiving historic levels of federal relief funding through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund. ESSER funds are provided to state educational agencies and school districts to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of school and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the nation's students. Criteria for the use of ESSER funds are: address learning loss, address learning acceleration, school facility repairs and improvements, planning for long term closures, unique needs of special populations, purchasing educational technology, mental health supports, and other approved activities that prevent, prepare, or respond to Covid-19.
Hardeman County Schools would appreciate your feedback on the use of ESSER funds regarding the focus areas of academics, technology, educator support, transportation, facilities, and partnerships. Please click on the link below to provide your feedback.
