The School Nutrition Department is comprised of a team of food service professionals that are dedicated to the health and well-being of all students. Our program is designed to support learning by providing nutritious meals daily in each of our nine schools. All foods served or sold at our schools meet strict state and federal nutritional requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines.

Hardeman County Schools implemented the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, which allows qualifying high-need school districts to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students at NO COST (regardless of household economic status). Ala Carte items, which are healthy snacks, are sold in the school cafeteria daily that may be purchased by students. As we go through another four years of complete implementation, we encourage every student in the county to eat both breakfast and lunch daily in their cafeteria site.

NOTICE OF INVITATION TO BID

The Hardeman County Board of Education, School Nutrition Program Department is requesting bids for food for the 2026-2027 school year.  Hardeman County will be bidding as a part of the Chickasaw-Shiloh Area Partnership with Chester, Decatur, Fayette, Hardin, Henderson and McNairy Counties and Lexington City Boards of Education.

  Complete bid instructions and conditions and the bid specification document may be picked up from the School Nutrition Program Department, Hardin County Board of Education, 155 Guinn Street, Savannah, Tennessee.
